About the event

In this creative and mindful workshop, children will explore the textures, shapes, and colours of the natural world as they collect and arrange materials to create their own unique collage art. Using leaves, petals, bark, twigs, and other natural items, they’ll develop their observation skills and sense of design while exploring themes like symmetry, pattern, and seasonal change. This relaxing, sensory-rich session encourages children to connect with the outdoors, express themselves artistically, and appreciate the beauty and variety found in nature. Skills Learned:

  • Observation and appreciation of natural forms and textures

  • Design and composition using natural materials

  • Exploration of symmetry, pattern, and layering

  • Environmental awareness and respect for nature

  • Fine motor skills through arranging and gluing delicate materials
