About the event

In this calming, hands-on workshop, children will build their very own mini ecosystem inside a glass jar, layering stones, soil, moss, and plants to create a self-sustaining terrarium. Along the way, they’ll learn about the water cycle, photosynthesis, and the delicate balance of life in a closed environment. This session is perfect for nurturing curiosity about the natural world, encouraging responsibility through plant care, and giving children a beautiful, low-maintenance piece of living art to take home and observe over time. Skills Learned:

  • Understanding ecosystems and the balance of living and non-living elements
