What is Project Resilience?

Project Resilience is focused on repairing relationships, healing hearts and empowering minds so individuals (adult and child alike) can thrive in even the most adverse situations.

We use a range of methods based in the latest scientific research covering psychology, sociology, neuroscience, brain and nervous system science, attachment theory and child development.

These methods either focus solely on the development of the adult being able to reach their optimal performance, or on empowering adults to become the emotional coach of the children in their care.

Our programmes allow participants to develop a deeper sense of self-awareness around their actions, behaviours and thought patterns. Encouraging the ability to find self-compassion and empathy around what they learn about themselves, so they can match this together with the new-found tools we provide to create a new, positive route forward.

We work across the whole spectrum from early years to secondary schools, across MATs, diocese, PRU/ Special schools, nurseries and childminders. We provide a range of packages, workshops or inset days focusing on the wellbeing of your staff, pupils or parents. Find out how we support you to evolve a culture of positive mental wellbeing and empowerment for your school community.

We’re parents ourselves and we get it! Parenting is tough and we don’t always know the best way to help our children to flourish. Whether it’s dealing with meltdowns, holding boundaries, connecting with your kids, sibling rivalry, not listening or just being triggered by your child’s behaviour, we can help you become your child’s emotional coach so they (and you) can thrive!

We work with children, family, care and education charities, as well as a range of LA departments such as education to social care, fostering to children’s centres. The work we do is focused on helping your workers, parents, children and families thrive. Helping them break generational patterns that haven’t served families well, so a positive pattern can be created for future generations.

What our participants say

What people say

Catharine Harle, Primary School Senior Leader

“I was challenged to look at things from a different view and better prepare myself to work more effectively. I’ve realised taking time to stop, breathe and refresh is so important. The biggest thing for me has been taking time to re-energise to be more productive. I’ve not done this in the past and typically worked continuously without breaking to re-energise. I’ve made changes to my lifestyle and certainly seen an impact. Now I’ve completed the programme, I can see (and feel) the benefits.”

Abby Taylor, Parent & Charity Worker

"I’ve been blown away by the impact this programme has had on me in such a short space of time. Most importantly for me I’ve become more forgiving of myself. I started the programme when I was at a real low point; going through a tough time at work in the context of a world in lockdown. Kathryn creates a wonderful safe space for learning, she brings such warmth and empathy and real learned experience of the full potential impact of all the tools and strategies she shares."

Joe Freeman, Local Authority worker

“The programme increased my awareness of my work/home balance and how to notice stress when it becomes a negative attribute. It’s helped me acknowledge techniques I use to manage stress aren't always best practise. I’ve adapted the way I prioritise items and include personal goals within these. This programme was really well balanced, interesting and well presented. I've never been on such an interactive and diverse programme, it’s the best I've been on.”
